Journaling From Inspiration
Imagine you’ll be sailing around the world. Who’s your travel partner, and why?
My first thought was Ruth. She is a really good friend, and I would love spending the time with her. But, I’m not sure she could put up with me for the length of time it would take to sail around the world. So, my travel partner would have to have lots of patience, would love to write, and if we had internet connection, we would probably blog ourselves around the world.

Journaling From Inspiration
A real friend never gets in your way — unless you’re on your way down. ~Anonymous
What are some of the problems in your life that you need to let friends help you with?
My weight. I have a friend who is there, every step of the way, encouraging me when I make an attempt, giving me helpful suggestions of what she is doing when I’m in a rut and not doing anything. She doesn’t get in my face. She doesn’t get mad. But, she is always there, wanting to help, hurting for me when I can’t hurt for myself. I like to stick my head in the sand when face with problems. She gets in my way, but in a gentle way. Emails when I don’t email. Comments when I don’t blog. She helps. Even when I don’t want her to, she is there, and I love her for that. She is ia real friend.
